Coming in December 11, 2002 The inauguration of an exclusive exhibition titled
"Hidden Treasures of the Egyptian Museum " which will display a collection of remarkable objects for the first time .

         Part of the basement of the Egyptian Museum, Cairo, will be transformed into a new space to show many artifacts that have never before been on display. Walking through the vaulted passageways of the exhibit, the public will rediscover many artifacts from the museum itself and from throughout Egypt.

Visitors will embark on an adventure by entering the western side of the basement , only now opened to the public Bring your imagination and your curiosity when you explore this unique presentation of Egypt's history and culture.

        All periods of ancient Egypt will be included in this exhibit, from the Pre-dynastic though the Graeco-Roman. Curators at the museum have carefully selected more than 300 of the most beautiful hidden objects and have thrown open the doors of Tutankhamun's storerooms to bring you unknown treasures belonging to the famous young king.
